What to look for in an MP3 player...
5.Features.
Ok, features is a bit of a broad term but here we are dealing specifically with just what the unit is capable of doing. Do you want a player that can skip between a list of songs, play, stop and pause, or are you after something a bit more complex and versatile with a graphic equalizer, editing functions, the ability to act as a storage device for other files that you may want to take with you to work, college, or even just round to your friends house. Can it plug into the TV and play video files? Does it do the washing up while teaching you how to play the Saxophone, and if so do you think you have the patience to read through the instructions and learn how to do all of that?
If you have a pile of illegal napster files and you get caught by the feds is there a delete function that will get rid of the evidence before you hand the player over downtown? Just how easy is the unit to use, are the buttons so small you need to carry a pair of tweezers with you to make adjustments, do they stick out so they may catch on things and break, are the corners sharp and pointy so they may catch on your clothes or tear your jacket lining? Do you need a hand shaped like a crazy mutant to be able to use the damn thing, or was it truly designed with human beings in mind?
